Chicago Bears LB Dan Rains on Sports Sunday

CLEARFIELD – Former Chicago Bears Linebacker, Dan Rains will be this week’s guest on WOKW’s, (102.9), “Sports Sunday” at 9:15 am, with Dave Marino and Bear Stewart.

Rains played with the Bears from 1982-86, but was on the Injured Reserve list the season (1985) Chicago won the Super Bowl. He was, however, involved in the famous video, “The Super Bowl Shuffle”, which raised over $2 million for charities.

Rains has the distinction of having played with two of the greatest running backs in football history. Walter Payton, with the Bears and Tony Dorsett at Hopewell High School near Pittsburgh were he also played fullback.

His best NFL season was 1983 when he played in 15 games, starting in five of those contests.
