Field Conditions Wash Out Lady Tide Once Again

CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville Area High School Athletic Director, Allen Leigey, said that Saturday’s Lady Tide softball game at Johnsonburg, against the Lady Rams, was cancelled due to weather conditions. No make-up date has been announced.

The Lady Tide are 2-1 on the 2008 campaign and have three home games this coming week.

On Monday, the Lady Tide have the first of two straight Moshannon Valley League (MVL) games when they play Harmony. Then on Tuesday another MVL opponent comes calling, as the West Branch Lady Warriors travel to Curwensville.

Curwensville’s week gets a little tougher when they entertain Punxsutawney, again at home, on Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Chucks are one of only two teams to have defeated last year’s PIAA Class “A” state champions, 2-0, at Punxsutawney.

All games have a 4:15 pm start time.
