PHILIPSBURG – A Munson man will be facing charges of retail theft following incidents at Minit Mart Philipsburg.
According to state police in Philipsburg, the 22-year-old man went into the store, stood near a cooler and placed a bottle of water in his jacket. The man left without paying for it. He returned and purchased some scratch-off lottery tickets. During the time he was in the store he purchased more tickts and also reached over the counter and stole four additional lottery tickets while the clerk was busy with her duties.
The man was identified with the help of a secutiry camera.
According to police the man worked as a security guard. He was off-duty at the time of the incident but had his company’s jacket and hat during the incident.
