CLEARFIELD – A Curwnensville man accused of having sex with a boy and another person was found guilty following his trial on Tuesday.
Terry Lee Kougher was found guilty of two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of statutory sexual assault, nine overall counts of corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault and 11 counts of other sex crimes.
The case came to light after a former adolescent counselor reported that a 15 year old boy told her that he had been having a sexual relationship with Kougher.
The incidents occurred between September 2005 and January 2007.
The first victim, now 18, said that the incidents happened with Kougher at various locations and times. He testified that one time, while he, Kougher and the second victim were helping someone move, he, Kougher and the other man all performed oral sex on one another.
The second victim presented similar testimony in the moving incident. He said that he was in a hallway when he was called for. He told the jury that he said no but was grabbed.
Initially the man could not remember specifics, but after being shown a statement he had given police his recollection had been refreshed.
The man also said that during another instance he and Kougher had sexual activities in a shed.
As a result of the verdict Kougher must undergo a sexual offender’s assessment.
