Former Pirate Reliever Kent Tekulve This Week on Sports Sunday

CLEARFIELD – Former Pittsburgh Pirate relief pitcher Kent Tekulve is this weeks guest on WOKW’s, (102.9), “Sports Sunday” at 9:15 am, with Dave Marino and Bear Stewart.

The former pitcher ended his career with 94 wins, 184 saves and a sparkling ERA of 2.85. He picked up three saves for the Pirates in the 1979 World Series as Pittsburgh defeated Baltimore 4 games to 3. Tekulve also led the National League in pitching appearances in 1978, 79, 85 and 90.
