PATTON – We thought Spring had Sprung!
The Friends Group of Prince Gallitzin State Park announces that its Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Prince Gallitzin State Park that was originally scheduled for March 22, 2008 will be rescheduled for March 29, 2008 due to the winter weather. The event will take place from 11am – 1pm at Muskrat Beach #2 (Main Beach area located off of Marina road, just seconds from the man marina entrance). Children will have the opportunity to search for Easter eggs and win prizes from area businesses. The hunt will be divided into three age groups: Group One: Ages 1-3 Group Two: Ages 4-6 Group Three: Ages 7-12. Children are asked to bring their own baskets to collect their eggs.
The Friends group will have food and beverages for sale during the event to help raise funds to support the group in their efforts to preserve, protect and promote the park. Donations from area businesses have helped to make this event possible.
Also, the group will be working with the Baltimore Life Insurance Company to provide FREE Child ID’s for all the children in attendance. This is a free public service provided by Baltimore Life and everyone is welcome to help protect their children by getting them a child ID that include a photo and fingerprints. These are valuable tools to law enforcement should your child become missing.
