I’m writing this today to ask for your help, your support, donations for a very, VERY worthy cause – Autism Speaks.
Autism is a brain disorder that is estimated affects one in every 150 children. There are several different types of autism, each with their own symptoms and degree of severity as well. Early diagnosis and therapy is one of the best ways of beginning treatment for this disorder for which there is no cure and which is a lifelong condition.
On April 12 there will be a 3K walk and a 5K race in State College. Registration for either, if done before March 21st is $13.00 per person. After that date until the walk begins, registration then is $15.00 per person. My family and I will be there, walking in honor of my two younger grandchildren, Maya and Kurtis
Wagner, from Grassflat, both who have been diagnosed with autism as the “WE ARE for Kurt and Maya Team.” (Their parents are Bill and Amanda Ertmer Wagner.)
Can you join us as we walk for this very important cause? Or would you be able to donate to our Team instead? Perhaps you have a company and would be willing to be a corporate sponsor for our team. If you’re interested in any of these aspects, check out this Web site for the event in State College.
Or, you can contact me via e-mail (
Please help us help Autism Speaks. We would certainly appreciate your support.
