Body Found in Moshannon Creek Identified, Cause of Death Determined

PHILIPSBURG – The identity of the body found in Moshannon Creek on Jan. 30 has been identified as 43-year-old William Anstett of Philipsburg.

State police in Clearfield also reported that the cause of death was determined to be hypothermia.

Police originally reported on Jan. 30 that a body had been discovered in Moshannon Creek around 9:30 a.m. near Sheetz. Police stated then that foul play was not suspected in Anstett’s death.

Anstett was originally reported missing by state police in December 2007.
