Tanner’s Run Upkeep Receives More Funding

CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville Borough President Dave McNaul presented a check received from Camille “Bud” George, D-74 Houtzdale in the amount of $42,000. The money is designated for equipment purchases to maintain the Tanner’s Run flood protection project.

George was responsible for securing the original $1.833 million grant for the project. After consideration Councilman Borger made a motion to purchase a tractor with mowing equipment for $62,585 plus freight totaling $64,085.

The equipment will be paid with the recent grant monies and monies previously allocated for Tanner’s Run equipment and upkeep.
