Fire Investigated in Boggs Township

WEST DECATUR – A state police fire marshal and the BJW fire chief investigated a fire at a Boggs Township home on Saturday.

The fire happened in the garage of Ricky and Lori Bumbarger of West Decatur. Police stated that the garage was burned to the ground and damage was too severe to determine an origin. Officials noted that nothing suspicious was discovered during the course of the investigation.

The garage and all of its contents, including a 2005 Pontiac G6 and a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier parked outside the garage, were a total loss. A damage estimate is unknown but is expected to exceed $60,000.
