LT Police Bust Alleged Drug Dealers After Traffic Stop

CLEARFIELD – A routine traffic stop led the arrests of two people and the seizure of $4,500 worth of heroin by the Lawrence Township Police Department.

According to the report, two people were originally detained following the traffic stop for being suspected of drug possession. Officers located 15 stamped packs of heroin on one person in the vehicle.

After receiving additional information, police obtained a warrant and searched a local hotel room. Several more people were detained at this point.

During the search 150 stamped bags of heroin, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Six people were taken to the station for questioning while two were taken to Clearfield County Jail.

The suspects have yet to be arraigned and the investigation continues.
