Man Dressed as Leprachan Arrested in DuBois

DUBOIS – DuBois City police arrested a man who may have been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day a little early.

DuBois City police officers were on patrol on Sunday when they came across a man dressed as a leprechaun walking through the Pershing lot. The man stumbled several times and was noted to be staggering.

Police report that the man was walking north and looked back at them before scurrying around the side of a building. Officers apprehended the leprechaun and learned his identity. Police noted that he had a strong odor of alcohol. He was taken into custody and taken to the station.

Charges of public drunkenness are pending.

It is unknown if a pot of gold was recovered.
