The Clearfield girls continued to improve as they claimed the top two spots against the defending District 9 Champions, Bradford Owls. Gwenn Porter and Bethany Feathers took the lead late in the race and continued their quest for a return trip to the PIAA state championships in November. Although not all the girls were able to race, to come within 4 points of a team like Bradford is quite an accomplishment. Also Megan McDermott was able to achieve her best time of the season on one of the harder courses in the district and finish in the top 10 for the first time.
On the boys side, Andrew Yingling was the top boys finisher followed by Holden Lowe. Without a full team, the boys were not able to score all the points needed for a complete meet. All the boys are continuing to improve their time in preparation for the District 9 Championships.
