ST. MARYS – The Letters From Home Program, the nonprofit organization in St. Marys that has sent letters and packages to soldiers stationed away from home since 2003, is in need of donations for their Christmas campaign — Blessing from America 2007 — to be shipped Nov. 11.
Anyone can help by donating cards and/or goodie items by dropping them off at the Clearfield Pharmacy (307 E. Market St. in Clearfield) by Oct. 26.
Donations being collected are: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Veteran’s Day, Thinking of You, Get Well or Christmas greeting cards with warm, encouraging messages written in them (please no glitter); donate individually wrapped toothbrushes and non-breakable store-bought or hand-made Christmas tree ornaments (no glitter please); and individually wrapped chocolate that ships well.
The Clearfield/Curwensville area has a goal of collecting 500 or more toothbrushes and at least 100 Christmas tree ornaments.
