DUBOIS – The DuBois Area School District Board of Directors approved an agreeement with the Clearfield County Department of Probation, Juvenile Division that would place a probation officer in school for the 2007-2008 school year.
In the agreement between the county and school district, the district notes that they see the partnership as valuable, and will provide support for the district’s high-risk delinquent students.
The probation officer will have an office space in the school to retain confidentiality. The district will commit to include the probation officer as a member of the student assistance team and other appropriate committees designed to address student problems and needs. Those are a few of the specifics of the partnership.
The Clearfield County Commissioners approved the agreement at their Sept. 4 regular meeting.
