Plans Being Finalized for King of the Mountain

CLEARFIELD – Plans are gearing up for the sixth annual King of the Mountain bicycle race on Oct. 7 in Clearfield.

The time trial-style competition begins at noon at Lawrence Hall on Mill Road and takes riders 1,000 feet over five miles up Rockton Mountain and is the main fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Clearfield County.

The KOM committee, which includes, from left, Ann Dotsey, Ginny Johnson, Dianne Bowser, Dan Myers, John Farr and Mary Walker, is accepting donations and rider registrations. For more information, call Dr. Farr at 591-6811.
