State Police Report Lottery Scam

CLEARFIELD COUNTY – Clearfield-based state police report that they have become aware of a lottery scam.

According to police, people are receiving letters and checks stating that the people have won the lottery. They are asked to send money to pay for certain expenses before receiving their money.

The state police wants to remind everyone not to send the money because they will not receive any money for the lottery and they will lose the money they sent for the false expenses.
