CLEARFIELD – On Thursday, local and state emergency response agencies will participate in a functional training exercise at Clearfield Hospital and the Clearfield Area Middle School.
The purpose is to test emergency plans and the preparedness levels associated with Clearfield Hospital and various support agencies.
The exercise is based on this scenario: a large number of people suddenly become ill at a local school and need immediate medical attention.
Among the agencies participating in the drill are: Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Clearfield County 911 Center, Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department, Clearfield Hospital, Clearfield Emergency Medical Service, Lawrence Township Police Department, Clearfield RACES Group, Clearfield County Emergency Management, Clearfield Area School District and the Lawrence Township Fire Department.
