Quiet Riot and Skid Row Headline Friday Night at the Fair

CLEARFIELD – A pair of 1980s icons will descend upon Clearfield Friday night as Quiet Riot and Skid Row Quiet Riot set out to turn back the clock at the Clearfield County Fair.

The ticket office at the park opens at noon Friday to sell any available tickets.

Quiet Riot, famous for singles such as “Cum On Feel The Noize” “Metal Health (Bang Your Head),” has sold more than 15 million albums.

“Cum On Feel The Noize” is considered the first heavy metal song to make the Top 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. The success of the single helped carry “Metal Health” to the top of the Billboard pop album charts, making it the first American heavy metal album to ever reach No. 1 in the USA.
Most recently, the band recorded and released their latest CD, “Rehab,” in 2006.

Skid Row came about in 1987 in Tom’s River, N.J.

Two years later the band’s debut album sold more than 5 million copies in the U.S. and launched the group’s first world tour.

Skid Row holds the honor of debuting the first heavy metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard charts with “Slave to the Grind.”

The band is famous for such songs as “Youth Gone Wild” and “18 to Life.”

The show at the Clearfield County Fair begins at 8 p.m. Friday.
