CLEARFIELD – The Tuesday night crowd at the Clearfield County fair rocked to the sounds of popular 70s group The Doobie Brothers.
Providing something for everyone, the Doobie Brothers played music from many genres while sticking to their roots. Mixing gospel, blues, and good old rock and roll into a crowd pleasing performance the Doobie Brothers left the audience on their feet.
From the first familiar chords sounds of songs like “Jesus is Just Alright” and “Take Me in Your Arms” had the crowd singing along. A performance of the chart topping, number one single “Black Water” further livened the audience.
After a brief intermission the band returned and asked the crowd to move close and join them near the stage playing what some would consider their most well known songs including: “China Grove” and “Listen to the Music”.
The Clearfield County Fair continues through Saturday with country stars Sugarland performing at the grandstand Wednesday at 8 p.m.
