Drug Arrest Made in DuBois City

DUBOIS – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced that a drug sting operation conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police has resulted in the arrest of Bruce Wilson, age 23, of Philadelphia.

Shaw reported that the State Police filed two criminal complaints Wednesday charging Wilson with distributing controlled substances including cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. The criminal complaints allege that on July 24, a police informant purchased $160 worth of cocaine from
Wilson at a residence East Scribner Avenue, in the City of DuBois.

The state police then obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Early Wednesday morning, state police troopers executed the search warrant and seized marijuana, heroin and $3,200 in U.S. currency.

Wilson was arraigned on the charges and bail was set at $150,000.

Shaw stated Wilson’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 3.

Shaw said the charges reflect the ongoing nature of drug investigations in the DuBois area.

Shaw said, “We have multiple drug investigations ongoing throughout Clearfield County and I want to emphasize that every effort is being made to identify and prosecute drug dealers in our community. Clearfield County is not a safe haven for drug dealers and if you are dealing drugs
in this community, you will be prosecuted”.
