CLEARFIELD – From Friday night through Saturday night, the state Department of Transportation will perform night-time paving along Interstate 80 in Clearfield County.
The six-mile work zone will be in the westbound lanes between mile-marker 126 and the Clearfield/120 exit. The paving work will include the westbound on and off ramps at the Woodland/123 interchange. The right (travel) lane will be closed during the paving and the Pennsylvania State Police will be on site to assist with traffic control.
Also on Friday, crews will close the eastbound left (passing) lane from mile-marker 127 to the Kylertown/133 exit to continue milling, paving, guide rail, and bridge repair work. The eastbound work near the Kylertown exit is expected to last about one week.
All work is part of PennDOT’s I-80 project from the Clearfield/120 exit to the Centre County line. Contractor on the $12.3 million project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Inc. PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle-up.
