CLEARFIELD – Police from three area departments executed a search warrant that lead to ten people being detained and the seizure of marinjuana, cash and paraphernalia.
The Lawrence Township Police Department reported that with the help of the Clearfield Borough Police Department and the Curwensville Police Department’s K-9 unit, a search warrant was executed at a Daisy Street address. Clearfield Borough Police Department reported that the search took place around 9 p.m. Thursday. Officers seized marijuana, cash and over a dozen items of paraphernalia. Officers also detained ten people, four of whom were juveniles. The juveniles were released to their parents.
Charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, furnishing alcohol to minors and underage drinking are expected to be filed.
“We put a dent into the marijuana that was available to our younger residents,” said Lawrence Township Police Officer Mike Morris.
Morris also added that the investigation began as a street level investigation.
