CLEARFIELD – Concert tickets and the advance gate season pass for the 147th Clearfield County Fair, to be held July 29 through Aug. 4, are now available for purchase by phone at 765-1749 or mail order. The ticket office window will open June 27. A ticket order form can be printed from the official Web site. All prices include the Clearfield Borough Amusement Tax.
Tickets are filled on a first come, first served basis, so the sooner an order is placed, the better the better the seating.
Headlining the fair this year: July 30, Doobie Brothers; Aug. 1, Sugarland; Aug. 3, Skid Row and Quiet Riot; and Aug. 4, Meatloaf.
A separate gate admission of $6 includes all day access to the mechanical rides, parade and fireworks on July 30, harness racing July 30 through Aug. 2; horse pull on Aug. 3, all fair exhibits, David H. Litz Grove Stage entertainment, Appalachian Art Studio wood carving, animal racing and petting zoo, and new this year — the firefighter training show.
For those who do not wish to ride, the advance gate season pass is available for purchase at the cost of $15 up until the Sunday prior to the fair. The advance pass is a booklet of five admission coupons. This allows non-riders to pay a $3 admission as in past years. The advance gate pass can also be ordered by phone or via the same ticket form as concert tickets. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
The cost of parking could not be included in the admission price due to the fact that the fair cannot guarantee parking.
