Applications Being Accepted for Duet Amateur Idol Contest

CLEARFIELD – Grab a sining partner and enter the 2007 Clearfield County Fair Duet Amateur Idol Contest. Applications are now being accepted until July 9 at the Clearfield County Fair office in the Clearfield Driving Park. Applications can be found online and also at the WOKW radio station.

The judging criteria will include stage appearance; stage performance; creativity with the chosen song; voice quality, which includes range, pitch and clarity; and harmony. Contestants will sing July 29 beginning at 12:30 p.m. on the grandstand stage. Contestants will receive information and their contestant number by mail.

Contestants must be 13-years-old or older and be able to sing a cappella on July 29. Fifteen duet finalists will be selected to sing on the David H. Litz Grove Stage July 31, Aug. 1 and Aug. 2. One duet couple from each day’s competition will sing on Aug. 3 for the grand prize.

The first place will receive $600, tickets to the Saturday night show at the fair and prize packs. Second place will receive $300 and prize packs, and third place will win $150 and prize packs.
