CLEARFIELD – Roadway improvement work continues on Interstate 80 in Centre County. The work zone stretches from mile marker 164 to mile marker 159, near the Bellefonte exit. Current traffic control on the project has closed the eastbound left (passing) lane. Starting Monday morning, June 18, the westbound left (passing) lane will also be closed. With one-lane open each direction through the work zone, traffic delays are likely. There are no width restrictions through the work zone.
Overall project work includes concrete patching, shoulder upgrades, and roadway paving. PennDOT will continue to provide updates on this project as work progresses through the summer. PennDOT expects all work to be complete by December, weather permitting. Contractor on the $9.1 million project is HRI Inc.
PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle-up.
