CLEARFIELD – Roadway improvement on Interstate 80 in Clearfield County will begin on Monday. The work zone will stretch from mile marker 120 (Clearfield exit) to mile marker 126, both east and west. Work taking place the week of June 11 will occur during daylight hours only.
Motorists can expect lane closures during the work and traffic delays are possible. Signage will be in place to alert motorists to the lane restrictions and Pennsylvania State Police will be on-site to enforce the work zone speed limit. Activity in the zone will include shoulder work, guide rail updates, roadway milling and paving.
PennDOT will provide updates on this work as it progresses into other phases and moves further east. All work is expected to be complete by October, weather permitting. The contractor on the $12.3 million project is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc.
PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and to always buckle up.
