Mid-State Medical Patient Becomes Irate with Staff

PHILIPSBURG – State police at Philipsburg were dispatched to a disturbance at Mid-State Medical on Philipsburg’s Front Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police report that an irate man caused a disturbance when the staff at the office would not refill his prescriptions. Staff at the facility did not wish for the man to be arrested. They requested that he be made to leave the premises.

Mid-State Medical was most recently in the news when the doctor there, Dr. Larry Adams, had search warrants issued on his office, home and van. State authorities are not saying if Adams will be charged at this time.

A search warrant obtained by GantDaily detailed items removed from his van including several prescription pain relievers.

Adams is also heading up the group that planned to re-open the Philipsburg Hospital this summer.
