DUBOIS – On Saturday, the Festival of the Arts returned to the historic district of DuBois.
A barricaded off section of West Long Avenue near Luigi’s Ristorante served as home for the festival this year. People from all over Pennsylvania ranging from DuBois itself to Weedville attended.
Some have attended the Festival of the Arts so long that they admitted to being regulars for so long that they have forgotten when they started. The stands present were as varied as the hometowns of those running them ranging from kettle-cooked popcorn made there to homemade quilts, jewelry to decorative plates.
Musical entertainment was also provided by the acoustic band Bad Hair Day and Joe Serafini, a strolling accordion player from Philipsburg.
“Very nice entertainment,” said Roseann Liptak of the Creations by Roseann Liptak.
There were also hands on activities for kids that included making “magical wands” and drawing on the sidewalk with chalk.
