CLEARFIELD – A storm that rolled through Clearfield County Saturday afternoon brought with it heavy rains and some wind.
Power outages and downed trees were reported in many areas of the county.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Clearfield County.
At 6:33 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated heavy rain falling from nearly stationary thunderstorms over the central portion of Clearfield County. An estimated 3 inches of rain fell during a 90-minute period over the the Lick Run and Moose Run stream basins.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warning area, move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. Drivers and pedestrians should not attempt to cross swiftly moving water or water of an unknown depth.
