CLEARFIELD – A DuBois man who pleaded guilty to sex crimes against four different victims was sentenced to state prison on Tuesday.
Jamie Lynn Rowles, 30, was sentenced to five-to-20 years in state prison for the rape of a 19-year-old autistic woman. He is to attend sex offendor counseling, have no alcohol, submit to DNA testing and to have no contact with the victim.
In that case Rowles was reported to have raped the woman, who lived at his residence with he and his wife, after the woman was led to a bedroom. Court records indicate that Rowles then entered the bedroom and began to rape her.
Rowles pleaded guilty to the aggravated indecent assault of a 3-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 10 years of probation and is to have no contact with any child under the age of 18.
According to a previous GantDaily article, court documents indicated that the actions between Rowles and the 3-year-old came to light when she began to exhibit odd behavior for a child her age while in pre-school and at her foster home.
The child’s foster mother also recounted an incident in which the girl would attempt to sexually assault another child. The foster mother also said the girl told her that Rowles would perform oral sex on her.
The child was examined by a medical doctor who stated that the girl described Rowles having her “tickle” his penis with her tongue. A medical exam on the girl showed that there was evidence that she could have been assaulted.
Rowles also pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and corruption of minors. He was sentenced to five years of probation on each count. In that case, according to a prior story on GantDaily, the incident occurred in the Rowles family home in July 2005. The girl was taking a bath when, court documents state, Rowles went into the bathroom and exposed his genitals, saying the girl “had a nice body.”
The girl left the bathroom crying. Rowles was then alleged to have gone into a bedroom where the girl was being consoled by another. Rowles was wearing his underwear, but he again made comments offering to have a sexual relationship with the girl.
Lastly, Rowles pleaded guilty to indecent assault. He was sentenced to five years of probation. In that case Rowles indently assaulted a 19-year-old mentally disabled man. Court records indicate that the man is in need of total care.
Rowles is also to register as a Megan’s Law offender.
