PUNXSUTAWNEY – Nearly one year after their son, Sgt. Scott Smith, was killed in Iraq, his parents, Robert and Shirl Smith of Punxsutawney received a hand-made quilt in honor of his service.

Sgt. Scott Smith had been serving with the 737th Explosive Ordnance Detachment, 52nd Ordnance based out of Fort Belvoir, Va. He is survived by his wife, Geri-Lyn Smith, of New Jersey.
