CLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has issued permits for two 510,000 pound “super loads” that will move through Centre and Clinton counties Friday.
J. Supor and Son Trucking and Rigging Co. Inc. of Kearny, N.J., will be hauling two large dryer units from Bucks County in PennDOT’s Engineering District 6 to Clinton County in Engineering District 2. The dryers are currently on Route 254 between 44 (Jerseytown) and I-80 at this time. PennDOT’s Engineering District 2-0 will issue updates as they occur.
The dryers are traveling through Centre County on Routes 192 and 477. In Clinton County the machinery will enter I-80 at exit 185 from SR 477 and then proceed west on I-80, then north on SR 220 to the Salona exit. The two dryers will travel north on SR 64 through Mill Hall to Hogan Boulevard.
The Pennsylvania State Police will shut down traffic on a portion of Route 220 as the dryers are being strategically moved from Hogan Boulevard to SR 220 and will travel in the opposite direction (northbound in the southbound lanes) on Route 220 to Route 120 (Paul Mack Boulevard), to Walnut Street. The Walnut Street exit ramp on Route 120 will be temporarily closed as the dryers make their way to East Park Street and ultimately end up at First Quality Tissue.
Motorists should expect delays on these routes and are advised to allow additional time in their travel plans or seek alternate routes in order to avoid delays.
