According to the report, 59-year-old Thomas McClaughin of New Bethlehem was found deceased in the Red Bank Creek a half-mile north of Baxter Bridge in Jefferson County. He was initially reported missing after he disappeared while fishing in Brookville Borough on April 18.

A missing person investigation was then conducted by the Brookville Borough Police Department. When McClaughin was found Brookville Borough Police and water rescue departments were searching on Sunday when McClaughin was found four-and-one-half miles south from where he was last seen.
