PUNXSUTAWNEY – The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop C Camp Cadet will be held at Clarion University from July 29 through August 3. The camp is for boys and girls ages 12 through 14, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, and McKean Counties.
Campers will stay at the University for the entire week. The camp will consist of demonstrations and speakers such as the FBI, Secret Service, Game Commission and several state police-related programs, such as the PSP Helicopter and Special Emergency Response Team. During the week they will also do activities including a day canoe trip to Cooks Forest and swimming.
The camp is a fun event for young people to learn about law enforcement and team work. It is not a camp for problem solving of young people.
The camp is funded through private donations from businesses, civic and social organizations and individuals, along with an annual golf tournament at Treasure Lake.
