RAMEY – Crews were called to a Miriam Street home in Ramey early Sunday morning.
The home of Timothy J. Mahute sustained about $100,000 in damage in the 3 a.m. fire.
Cpl. Thomas E. Josephson, a state police fire marshal, investigated the incident. Josephson said the origin of the fire is known, but no further information is being released at this time.
Josephson’s investigation was assisted by Trooper Harold Rinker and his canine, Reno.
Neighbor Tom Flango reported that the home was a total loss. He said Steven Flango reported the fire to neighbors after passing by the area and seeing flames engulfing the home.
