Checks Presented for New Boat Launch

CLEARFIELD – Special guests from state government made a stop in Clearfield Borough Friday afternoon to present checks for the construction of a boat launch in the Clearfield area.

In total, $45,000 in grant money was received, including $25,000 from the fish and boat commission and $20,000 from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Once constructed, the launch will provide for easier access to the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in the Clearfield Area.

Pat Domico, marketing director for the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce, thanked those who took part in the presentation.

“On behalf of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce and the Curwensville Angers Restocking Program, we would sincerely like to thank Scott Bollinger from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission in Harrisburg for the $25,000 grant and Kim McCullough of DCNR for the $20,000 grant. It was very much appreciated.”
