CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough is hanging out the “Help Wanted” sign.
The municipality is in need of some residents willing to serve the community.
An unprecedented number of vacancies exist on several of the borough’s boards and authorities as well as those of which it is a member.
The openings were a topic of discussion at a recent Clearfield Borough work session, when it was notd that more than 15 openings exist, and Clearfield Borough residents are needed to fill them.
There are six vacancies on the Downtown Business District Authority, and five on the Clearfield Borough Recreation Board.
Vacancies also exist elsewhere including the Clearfield Hospital Authority, the Shade Tree Commission, the Uniform Construction Board of Appeals, the Clearfield-Lawrence Township Airport Authoriy and the Downtown Lighting Committee.
Those interested in filling the seats should send a letter expressing their interest to 6 S. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830. The next meeting of Clearfield Borough Council is Thursday.
