No Increase for CMA Customers in New Budget

CLEARFIELD- Clearfield Municipal Authority customers will not be seeing a water or sewer rate increase.

The municipal authority board voted unanimously to approve the finance committee’s proposed 2007 budget Tuesday afternoon.

Total expenditures for the water fund are budgeted at $2,280,296 and $1,005,044 for the sewer fund. Total revenues are budgeted at $2,371,500 for the water fund and $1,022,600 for the sewer fund.

The board has not increased rates for three years.

Russ Triponey, board president, said, “You go three years and do what we’ve done without an increase in rates, I’d like to throw that out as a challenge to all the other organizations in our community that rely on public funds.”
