Old Cell Phones and Empty Ink Cartridges Wanted

CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action Inc., in partnership with First Energy Corp., is asking for the donation of your used, outdated and broken cell phones and the empty inkjet cartridges from your printers. The phones and ink cartridges will then be submitted to “Phoneraiser.com” where CPCA will receive credit for the items. All proceeds will benefit CPCA’s Clearfield County food pantries.

Food pantries in the eight school districts in Clearfield County will have the opportunity to purchase paper products and foods not allowed under the State Food Purchase Program. All monies collected from the recycling of these old and discarded items will be targeted to help the people in your home town.

All of these used items can be donated at any of the Clearfield County Community Action offices, are located at 207 E. Cherry St. in Clearfield, 40 Terrace Drive in Houtzdale, 14 S. Front St. in Philipsburg, and in DuBois at 101 S. Jared St.

CPCA asks everyone to check their drawers and closets and drop off old cell phones and cartridges at one of the offices.

CPCA representatives said, “Your community will be a better place for it and so will your landfill.”

CPCA would like to thank First Energy Corp. and their employees for their ongoing commitment to CPCA and the food pantries in our community.
