WOODLAND – It was a close call for a family at a camp that caught on fire on Saturday.
Denny Lumadue and his family members were asleep his camp caught fire. All escaped. Lost were many trophy deer heads and a bear statue. The camp was reportedly heavily damaged.
Firemen from Bigler-Jackson-Woodland, Wallaceton, Hyde, and Curwensville Fire Companies, as well as Clearfield Fire Company 3 and Lawrence Township Fire Company 1 responded to the fire. Trucks from Brockway, DuBois and Sandy Township were on stand-by.
