MIDDLETOWN (PRNewswire-USNewswire) – The Pennsylvania Lottery will introduce a new numbers game next week.
“mix & match” will offer better odds than any other numbers game, more ways to win, and a cash jackpot that begins at $50,000.
“mix & match” tickets go on sale Tuesday, and the first drawing will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday. “Mix & match” drawings will be conducted every Monday and Thursday evening with The Daily Number, BIG 4 and CASH 5 drawings.
“‘mix & match’ is a great new game with features our players have never seen before,” said Ed Trees, PA Lottery’s acting executive director. “Not only can players win multiple prizes from a single $2 play, but the overall odds of ‘mix & match’ are the best ever offered in a Pennsylvania Lottery numbers game.”
“mix & match” replaces LUCKY FOR LIFE LOTTO in the same time slot – Mondays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. LUCKY FOR LIFE debuted in October 2004. The last LUCKY FOR LIFE drawing will be conducted Monday.
“mix & match” players will receive one play for $2 and then they will choose five numbers from 1 to 19, or use the quick-pick, computer-selection method. Players can win by matching one or more of their numbers in the same position as drawn by the lottery, and by matching three or more of their numbers in any position. The game offers 17 different prize level combinations. “mix & match” tickets may be purchased up to one week (two draws) in advance.
Cash jackpots will start at $50,000, but if the top prize is not won in a drawing, the entire amount will roll over to the next drawing’s jackpot.
“mix & match” prizes will be paid in cash (including the jackpot prize), a free ticket or a combination of the two. The top “mix & match” prize level is pari-mutuel, so the total prize pool available is equally divided among all winning tickets matching all five winning numbers in the same position in which they were drawn.
