Girl with Local Ties Gets Big Soccer Break

COCO BEACH, Fla. – Kelsea Kneisel has been invited to United Soccer League\’s ODP National Camps in Coca Beach, Fla., in early February to try out for the U.S. National Team Programs in the U-15 Girls division.

Kelsea has been playing competitive soccer since she was 7 years old. She currently plays for the South Jersey Banshees Soccer Club and is coached by John Thompson.

The Super Y-League ODP National Camps represent the best opportunity for athletes with professional playing aspirations to be seen by coaches from national team staff and top collegiate programs. Players attending this event were hand picked by club coaching staffs and Super Y-League national scouting network. The network is comprised of qualified coaches within the existing Super Y-League club system. Selections were based on player performance during Super Y-League regular season play and North American Finals.
 
Kelsea is the daughter of Don Kneisel (formerly of Curwensville) and the granddaughter of the late Don and Marge Kneisel of Curwensville. She lives in Linwood, N.J., and is in eighth grade at the Bellhaven Middle School, Linwood.
