WOODLAND – Two hunters in Bradford Township found themselves dodging bullets on Friday according to Clearfield-based state police.
John Swoope of Woodland and William Swope if Clearfield were hunting in a hollow about 300-yards behind a residence in Woodland. The owner of that residence was target shooting small metal cylinders which were placed on the ground without any backstop.
According to the report the rounds were traveling down into the hollow near the two hunters, going over their heads and next to them.
Police report that no one was injured. The target shooter will be charged under a state game law stature for target shooting without a proper backstop.
