PHILIPSBURG – Troopers will be stepping up traffic enforcement in two areas in Central Pennsylvania in response to traffic crashes.
State police at Philipsburg report that incidents on U.S. Route 220 have prompted an increase of patrols and traffic enforcement on U.S. 220 between the Blair County line and Unionville Borough, Centre County.
Police also remind that traffic approaching an emergency vehicle stopped along the road with its lights activated must change lanes away from the emergency vehicle. If no other lane is available, traffic must reduce speed and proceed with care.
Fines for not doing so are from $85 to $250 plus court costs and possible license suspension.
