City of DuBois Residents Will Not See Tax Increase

DUBOIS -According to DuBois City Mayor John “Herm” Suplizio, DuBois City residents will not see a tax increase in 2007.

“It is with a great deal of pleasure that I am able to announce that the City of DuBois taxpayers will not see an increase in their city taxes for the year 2007,” said Suplizio.

The city anticipates revenues of $,528,779 and expenditures of $3,528,648. According to Suplizio this shows an increase of $455,261 from the 2006 budget.

DuBois City Council had the first reading of the 2007 budget at Tuesday’s meeting. A public hearing regarding the 2007 budget is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 6:45 p.m.
