Trio Burglarizes Clearfield Borough Home

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Police said two males and a female will be arrested in connection with a burglary that happened Thursday at 11:24 a.m.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Daisy Street for a report of a burglary in progress Thursday morning. When they arrived, two males and a female were observed using a bar to gain access through a front door of a vacant home. The trio was able to gain access to the home.

The three people were taken into custody in the yard of the vacant house after a foot pursuit. They were then transported to the Clearfield Borough police station where they were questioned.

Police report that charges of burglary and related counts will be filed in the case.

Lawrence Township Police, along with Clearfield County Detectives and the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office, assisted Clearfield Borough Police.

Lawrence Township Police report that when the three suspects were being questioned, officers found that they may have been involved in two other burglaries that happened in Lawrence Township on the same date. Lawrence Township Police are continuing their investigation and have not said whether charges will be filed.
