CLEARFIELD – An Osceola Mills man’s case will be added to the trial list after a judge ruled that there is enough evidence.
David M. Reese, 28, was caught with copper wire in his truck last week while state police troopers were on patrol near G.C. Scrap Metals in Rush Township, Centre County.
Troopers saw a truck exiting the area near the scrap metal business when they noticed copper wire in the bed of the truck.
Reese was driving when the vehicle was pulled over, and court documents state that he was unable to produce a driver’s license.
Reese told the troopers, “I found (the wire) along the road.”
Investigators found that the tires on Reese’s vehicle matched tracks at G.C. Scrap Metals.
After a hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Rudella, Reese’s case was held to court on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and related counts as well as driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
Reese’s bail was reduced from $25,000 to $10,000. However, he remains in Clearfield County Jail on at least one bench warrant.
