CLEARFIELD – Motorists traveling Interstate 80 through Centre County on Monday will encounter delays as crews work to remove rumble strips between mile marker 161 (Bellefonte exit) and mile marker 152.
Removal of the eastbound rumble strips will begin at 7:30 a.m. Westbound rumble strip removal is planned to take place from noon to 3 p.m.
The flow of traffic is expected to slow, and lengthy back-ups are likely. Information on the delays will be available on the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 on the AM dial. Message boards will be in place to alert motorists to the delays.
All work is weather-dependent.
Drivers are advised to remain alert for slowed or stopped traffic, obey posted speed limits, and always buckle up.
