CLEARFIELD – The trial for Jack Allen is more than a month away, but preparations for the five-day proceeding are already under way.

Lawrence Township Police reported assisting Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. with serving subpoenas regarding the Allen trial between Friday and Monday. The documents require the recipients’ appearance to testify during the trial.

Allen was granted a retrial by the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in January.

Allen, accused and found guilty of shooting his wife, Teresa Allen, will have a new jury trial Dec. 18-22.
